Adam, Adam Carter “Uncle Dum”, 27, of Knightstown, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Methodist Hospital. He was born August 25, 1982 the son of Harlon and Melinda (Crawford) Carter of Knightstown.

Adam was a 2001 graduate of Knightstown High School and was an all around outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved fishing in tournaments. He raced at Mt. Lawn Speedway and enjoyed NASCAR and riding a 4-wheeler. He loved spending time with friends, family and his three dogs. He changed a lot of people’s lives. You couldn’t be around him for more than 30 seconds without him putting a smile on your face. He enjoyed helping elderly folks especially those that lived close to him. He was a dedicated worker and was presently employed by Pool Cover Specialists of Knightstown.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister: Addrea (Carter) Brown of Knightstown; nephew: Jacob Carter; niece: Jessica Brown of Knightstown; maternal grandparents: Leonard and Betty Crawford of Greenfield; many aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends: Ashley and Stacey.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Lonnie and Hattie Carter; uncle: Dennis Carter; aunt: Marcia Ballard; uncle: Robert Frost.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, April 30, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Reverend George Maloyed, Jr. officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Thursday, April 29. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knightstown Police Department with envelopes available at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hinsey-brown.com .
