Alberta Bigelow, 96, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Millers Merry Manor in Rushville. She was born July 5, 1916 the daughter of Herman and Mary Catherine (Williams) Kindler.
Alberta retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of Center Christian Church and Prospect Lodge of Indianapolis. The family wishes to thank Millers Merry Manor for her care the last two and a half years.
She is survived by a daughter: Ann (husband: Jack) Grund of Knightstown; a son: John (wife: Ginny) Bigelow of Downers Grove, IL; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Edward Bigelow; siblings: Edward Kindler, Earl Kindler, Edith Wood.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Bill Worrell officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center Christian Church, 9112 N 50 W, Knightstown, IN 46148.
