Alma “Pat” L. Goff, age 84, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at her home. She was born July 2, 1928 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Luther Benton and Louisa Ruth (Mills) Cooper.
Pat at one time had been employed by Kresge in New Castle, but spent most of her life as a homemaker, and also enjoyed working the election polls. She had attended Charlottesville School Corporation, and was a member of the Rose City Breakers and the Hornets Club. Her daily enjoyment was going to Memorial Park to feed the squirrels and raccoons. She also enjoyed talking and visiting with family and friends, taking photos, crocheting, and plastic canvas. She was very fond of her pets, Oscar and Holly. Most importantly, Pat was a very loving mother and attended the South Side Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her daughter, Penny Goff Blevins of New Castle; four brothers, Woodard Cooper of New Palestine, Norman Cooper of Bowling Green, KY, Robert (wife, Diana) Cooper of Greenfield and Tom (wife, Sandy) Cooper of Bowling Green, KY; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Allen Goff; son, Joey Goff; brothers, Raymond, William and John Cooper; sisters, Margurite, Dorothy, Helen and Alberta Cooper.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverends David Perry and Michael Dees officiating.
