Alonzo Ralston, Jr., 86, of New Castle, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013 at his residence. He was born June 28, 1927 in Georgetown, KY a son of Alonzo and Alma (Lee) Ralston, Sr.
He attended Middletown High School and worked in Quality Control at Delco Remy in Anderson over 31 years retiring in June, 1980. Alonzo served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of Cadiz Christian Church and enjoyed electronics.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years: Betty (Everman) Ralston; a son: Ron (Jean) Ralston of Greenfield; two step-daughters: Cindy (Lee) Evers of Elkhart and Jan Marshall of Indianapolis; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and five great step-grandchildren; two sisters: Doris Hughes of Anderson and Sue (Irwin) Wiggins of Indianapolis; a sister-in-law: Wilma Everman of New Castle; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Steve Ralston; a sister: Frances Anderson; a brother: Everett Ralston.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Jeff Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00-2:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service.
