Andrew Kavan Hicks, age 13, of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 12, 2013. He was born August 29, 2000 in New Castle, Indiana to Abby Morrow.
A student at New Castle Middle School, Andrew enjoyed playing video games and watching movies. He was intrigued with the mysteries of the world. He was a very compassionate, sensitive, funny individual. Andrew loved to swim and enjoyed going on outings with his cousins.
Survivors include his mother, Abby Morrow of New Castle; grandparents, Jim and Geneva Morrow of New Castle; three aunts, Jennifer (Randy) Groce of New Castle, Lori (Jon) Lowhorn of New Albany and Jamie Morrow of New Castle; close friends, Kristen and Lucas Hicks of New Castle; cousins, Nathan, Nolan, Rachel, Brooklynn, Chelsie, Lainey, Kylie and Jakob.
Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial at Batson Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. There will be no public viewing. Memorial contributions may be given to the Andrew Kavan Hicks Memorial Fund, c/o Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, 3406 S. Memorial Drive, New Castle, IN 47362.
