Anita Jo Brenton

Anita Jo Brenton, 64, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024 after an extended illness at Community East Hospital. She was born February 2, 1960 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Danny R. and Anne L. (Berry) Brenton.  

Anita was a 1978 graduate of Eastern Hancock High School. She attended Indiana Business College. She enjoyed cooking, feeding birds and squirrels, camping and taking care of her animals. Anita enjoyed spending time with family especially her nieces and nephews. 

Anita is survived by her significant other, David Daniels; sister, Teresa (Mickey) Spegal, nieces, Ashley (Josh) Ranes, Emily (Garrett) Leonard; nephew, Douglas Spegal; four great nieces and three great nephews.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Doug Brenton. 

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, July 29, 2024 at McCray Cemetery with Pastor Anthony Darling officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wilkinson Church of Christ, 7293 N State Road 109, Wilkinson, IN 46186.
