Anna Marie Cross

Anna Marie Cross, age 56, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at her residence. She was born July 3, 1959 in Muncie, Indiana to Alfred L. Kennedy, Sr. and Joyce Hopkins.
Anna was a 1977 graduate of Union High School and a 1992 graduate of Ivy Tech majoring in Data Processing. She had worked at the New Castle-Henry County Public Library and owned Fast Print in New Castle. Anna also was a substitute teacher for Blue River and Union School corporations. She was a member of the Mooreland Friends Meeting. Anna enjoyed reading and playing computer games.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Steve Cross of New Castle; two daughters, Stephania Cross and Sarah Johnson; two grandchildren, Emma and Christopher JR.; siblings, Jack L. (Brenda Kay) Kennedy of KS, Buddy (Brenda Gay) Kennedy of DeSoto, IN, Theresa S. Addis of FL, Ruth Ann Kennedy (Jim MacDonald) of FL and Judy Kennedy-Caccamo (Don Fisher) FL; step-siblings, Debbie and Donnie Hopkins; eighteen nieces and nephews and eighteen great nieces and great nephews; mother and father-in-law, Bud and Barbara Cross of Economy; two sisters-in-law, Vickie (Jerrell) Dennis of New Castle and Terry (Neil) Donohue of AZ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three step-siblings, Robert Hopkins, Danny Joe Hopkins and Omar Edward Hopkins; brother-in-law, Jeff Cross and a niece, Jessica Dailey.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Thomas Current officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery in Hagerstown. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the funeral home.
