Anna L. Harlan, age 89, of New Castle, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at Henry County Hospital. She was born June 7, 1922 in Miami County, Indiana to the late Charles W. and Carrie L. (Kuhns) Pearcy.
She was a member of First Bible Freewill Baptist Church, Foster Grandparents, Chatterbox Euchre Club and Modern Mothers Club.
Survivors include a son, Mark Galloway of Anderson; daughter, Tracy Dellinger of New Castle; niece, whom she helped raise, Sandra Harper of Round Rock, TX; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three step children and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George S. Harlan in 1984; two sisters, Marjorie Lindley and Juaneta Pearcy.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Kevin Flannigan officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2011 at Memorial Cemetery in Kokomo. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2011at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Henry County Cancer Society, 1909 Walnut Street, New Castle, IN 47362 with envelopes available at the funeral home.
