Anna Lavon Brown Rucker, 92, of Rushville passed away on November 20, 2017 at Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing home in Rushville, IN. She was born September 29, 1925 to Rolla and Lorinda (Conklin) Muir in Ripley County, Indiana.
She married Elvis Brown in 1948 and he precedes her in death. She married Bert Rucker in 1972 and he precedes her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Sue Wilson; a daughter-in-law, Judy Brown-Anderson; four grandchildren, Rhonda (Kenny) Weaver, Amy (Jose) Rosales, Ryan (Beth) Brown, and Sara Brown; four great grandchildren with one on the way, Joe Rosales, Jackson Rosales, Chloe Brown, and Hudson Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Larry Brown, and 5 brothers (Virgil, Roland, Robert, Raymond and Toby) and 2 sisters (Mildred and Marjorie).
She was active in many groups during her life: Lion’s club, American Legion, Eastern Star, and TOPS. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working crossword puzzles, painting, and playing games.
Visitation will be held from 1 pm to 3 pm Wednesday, November 22 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with graveside services to follow at Glen Cove Cemetery.
