Annabelle “Ann” Lefforge, 85, of Spiceland passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial in Muncie. She was born November 9, 1936 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of the late Raleigh and Dorothy (McDonald) Lockridge.
Ann lived most of her life in Greensboro and had formerly been employed at Firestone in New Castle and the Knightstown Banner. A member of the Rebekah Lodge in Dunreith, she enjoyed flowers, housework and working in the yard. Ann also enjoyed camping, fishing, shopping and cruising Spiceland with her neighbor, Janice on her golf cart. But most of all, she loved spending time at family cookouts.
Survivors include her children; Robert “Robbie” E. (Patty) Lefforge, Jr. of Lewisville and Cheryl Lefforge (fiancé Mark Hopkins) of New Castle; grandchildren, Elijah (Leeann) Little of Carthage, Justin (Rhonda) Lefforge of Mays, Dana Lefforge of Carthage and Zackery (Heather) Little of New Castle; two step-grandchildren, Brian Stanley of South Carolina and Billy (Charissa) Stanley of Lewisville; nine great grandchildren; a niece, Debbie Wainscott of Warrington; a nephew, Jeff Lefforge of Knightstown; cousins, Richard Rutherford of Muncie, Bobby (Angie) Rutherford of Florida, and Gloria Jean of Richmond and her grand-dogs: Bandit, Belle, Piper and Trixie.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl “Bob” Lefforge in 2018 and two brothers, Howard & Robert “Bobby” Lockridge.
Services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Jr. Maloyed officiating. Burial will follow in Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland.
