Annabelle Peters, age 92, of New Castle, passed away Monday, January 5, 2009 at Hickory Creek of New Castle. She was born October 20, 1916 in Rush County, Indiana to the late Earl and Lettie Edna (Hamon) Robertson.
She was a 1934 graduate of Mays High School. She had worked as a nurses aide in several hospitals and had also worked as a home nurse. She was a member of Christ’s United Methodist Church and of the United Methodist Women’s Association.
Survivors include a daughter: Lettie (husband: Niles) McClure of Connersville; a brother: Hubert (wife: Barbara) Robertson of Middletown; a step son: Lynn Lewis (wife: Rosie) Peters of Montana; step granddaughter: Melissa Paulette Peters; step grandson: Justin Peters; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Lewis Andrew Peters in 1986; a brother: Chester Robertson in 1998.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Larry Rempe and Reverend Jack Hannum officiating.
