Annis Eunice Wallace, age 90, of Greensboro, IN, passed away on July 14, 2024 at Addison Place in New Castle. She was born on June 19, 1934 in New Castle, Indiana to the late James Emery and Dorothy Mae (Lucas) Marks.
A graduate of New Castle High School, Annis began her career as a dance instructor at Van’s Dance Studio. After the birth of her children, Annis dedicated her time to being a mother and homemaker. She later returned to work as a secretary for EDC. She generously volunteered countless hours at both the Henry County Memorial Hospital as well as the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
She is survived by her sons, Sammie (Susie) Wallace of Lexington, David (Joyce) Wallace of Lebanon; her daughters, Sylvia (Todd) Miller of Atlanta, Linda (Kevin) Kirk of Whiteland; her daughter-in-law, Leanne Wallace of New Castle; her grandchildren, Bryan (Brandi) Wallace, Robert (Angie) Miller, Samanthe (Danny) Lloyd, Megan Saunders, Bradley (Krystle Goodall) Wallace, Chris (Kayla) Wallace, Andrew (Danielle) Kirk, Alexandra (Dylan) Cooper, and Logan Wallace; her great-grandchildren, Cole and Zoe Darnell, Samuel, William, Maddox, Merida, Addison, Dawson, and Hendricks Wallace, Wallace and Henry Kirk and Wrynn Cooper.
Annis was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married on April 3, 1955, Sammie Lee Wallace; son, Steven Lee Wallace; siblings, Estella Waln, Ruth Downam and Mary Rose Finch.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family with burial at Hicksite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or the Greensboro Methodist Church.
