Arla J Cope

Arla J. Cope, 80, of Springport passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Henry County Hospital. She was born June 29, 1934 in Olathe, Colorado, a daughter of the late Manford O. and Alice L. (Atkins) Lockwood. Arla loved taking care of children; she also enjoyed gardening and sewing. Survivors include a son: Randall L. Cope of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Russell J. Cope, Jr., Allison M. Cope, Christina L. Cope, Christopher L. Cope; siblings: Dimples (Garry) Wilson of Springport and Keith Lockwood of Chico, California. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Robert E. Cope and a son: Russell J. Cope, Sr. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. There will be no public calling.
