Arlene Patrick

September 12, 1938 — June 8, 2023

Arlene Bradshaw Patrick, 84, of Greenfield, passed away on June 8, 2023, at Hancock Regional Hospital after a brief illness.

The daughter of Henry and Nola Cecile Williams Bradshaw, she was born in Russell County, Kentucky on September 12, 1938. Arlene graduated from Russell Springs High School in 1958.

For over 60 years, Arlene made Indiana her home. She worked at Western Electric in Indianapolis for nearly a decade before marrying Norman Patrick, her husband of 53 years on June 23, 1970. Together, they resided in Knightstown for 45 years before moving to Greenfield in 2016.

Arlene loved the Lord and was a member of Faith Chapel in Knightstown; she cherished the fellowship, love and support from her church family.

As husband Norman told her, she was the best wife and mother anyone could ask for. Always quick to lend a reassuring hand, hug or offer words of encouragement, she showed her love in countless ways.

Arlene loved being outside in the sun, gardening, reading – especially The Bible, watching British mysteries and above all, spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her sister, Alene Bradshaw, brother, Gene Bradshaw and brother-in-law, Graydon Patrick. She is survived by her husband, Norman, daughter, Rebecca Patrick, son, Michael Patrick (Becca), sister, Lois Bradshaw, grandsons, Andrew Patrick and Kaleb Nunley, sisters-in-law, Virgie Patrick and Sharon Bradshaw, brothers-in-law, Burgess (Betty) Patrick and Gary (Ramona) Patrick, much loved nephews and nieces and their families, cousins and close friends, and the family’s loyal dog Jax.

A private service will be held by the family with burial at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. You may express condolences or share a memory of Arlene at www.hinsey-brown.com .
