Belinda S. (Blackburn) Guthrie, age 54, of Winamac, Indiana, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 12, 2010 at her residence. She was born September 24, 1955 in New Castle, Indiana to William “Doc†Lyle and Dica (Carr) Blackburn.
Belinda had worked at Eaton Factory and was a member of the UAW # 1609. She wrote poetry of which some has been published. She made quilt designs and enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Christopher M. Loomis (Jill) of Indianapolis, IN; Ericka (husband, Neal) Pass of Avondale, AZ and Kerri Lopez (Randall) of Winamac, IN; grandchildren, Christian Loomis, Justus Loomis, Jada Pass, Keira Pass, Anjelica Garcia, Kianna Piner, Adrian Piner, Amaya Hillman, Mariah Piner, Colin Piner and April Guthrie; a brother, Jeffrey (wife, Alethia) Blackburn; niece, Haliee Blackburn, Johnny, Alishia, Tara and Joaunpaey; stepchildren, Lynne, Donnie, Mary, Christine, David and Patrick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Michael Guthrie; stepchildren, Michael and Daniel.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Jack Hannum officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the funeral home.
