Benny A. Davis

Benny A. Davis, 83, of New Castle, Indiana passed away at Bethesda North Hospital on Saturday, October, 19 2024. He was born in New Castle August 12, 1941 in New Castle to the late Arthur and Louise (Duncan) Davis.

Benny was employed as a tool and die maker for Ready Corporation in Connersville and Hart-Up Corporation in Columbus. After this, he worked at McDonalds as a maintenance supervisor for Muncie and Anderson restaurants.

Benny served his country in the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. Benny enjoyed Coca-Cola, cigars and visiting the casino. An avid Motorcycle rider, he loved riding his Harley. Other hobbies included bowling, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Benny is survived by two sons, Arthur Todd Davis of Brookville and Matthew (Nicolette) Davis of Connersville: step-son, John (Annette) Albertson of Palm Coast, FL.; grandchildren, Courtney (Tylor) Campbell, Morgan Davis, Brittany (Jeff) Dilk, Anastasia Greer, Arthur Ray (Deanna) Davis, Daniel Neal, Cassandra Davis and Lastin Davis; nineteen great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Bogue of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Louise Davis; sister, Patricia Davis Dalton and a nephew, Rodney Smith.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Military honors will be conducted by contingents of the US Army, American Legion and the VFW.
