Betty LaVerne Blevins

Betty LaVerne Blevins, 73, of New Castle, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 in The Waters of New Castle. She was born May 26, 1940, in New Castle, a daughter of the late James A. Sr. and Martha E. (Decker) Daffron.
She began working at a young age, RCA, Western Electric, Chrysler and retired from Boeing out of Macon, Georgia. Betty loved being with family, especially the great grandsons. She will be sadly missed.
She leaves behind her husband, Jack G. Blevins Sr., after 52 years of marriage and three sons, Randy, Rick, and Jack “Rusty” Blevins, all of New Castle. She also leaves behind three granddaughters, Kerri Norris and Amanda Blevins, both of New Castle, and Holly Marie Blevins of Kentucky; two grandsons, Rick Blevins II of Indianapolis, and Jacob Blevins of New Castle; also four great grandsons and one great granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by one son, Robert “Robbie” Chad; her parents; four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by one sister, Martha J. Crowhorn of New Castle, along with a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
