Betty Campbell

Betty Jane Campbell, 88, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle. She was born July 4, 1922 in New Castle the daughter of the late Paul and Julia (Dugan) Holloway.

She had been employed at Redelman Hardware and the Daylight Store in New Castle. She was a member of the Memorial Wesleyan Church, former Ninth Street Wesleyan, since 1940 where she taught Sunday School for several years and served on the Hospitality Committee.

She is survived by a son: Jerry (wife, Carol) Campbell of Maumee, OH; grandson: Chris (wife, Julie) Campbell of Tampa, FL; granddaughter: Cara Encarnacion of Clearwater, FL; great grandson: Nicholas Encarnacion of Clearwater, FL; a great granddaughter, Cayla Encarnacion of Clearwater, FL; sister: Barbara Cupp of Camby, IN.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Omer Wesley Campbell; four brothers: Robert, Howard, Billy and Darrell Holloway.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Memorial Wesleyan Church with Pastors Paul Kirk and Dennis Hilton officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service. Memorial contributions may be given to Memorial Wesleyan Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
