Betty Sue Melton-Loveless, age 71, of New Castle, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011. She was born December 31, 1939 in Burkesville, Kentucky to the late Homer P. and Celia (Gilbert) Melton.
Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed her past membership with the O.E.S. and White Shrine of Jerusalem. Betty loved the arts and music. She also enjoyed painting, flowers, and gardening. Betty was a lifelong member of Foursquare Gospel Church and enjoyed spending time in Bible study. Betty was known as “Mimi” to her grandchildren and loved each of them with all her heart.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Ralph E. Loveless of New Castle; children, Timothy E. (wife, Sharon) Loveless of New Castle and Gina (husband, Kenneth S.) Cox of New Castle; Mimi’s grandchildren, Michael (wife, Jennifer) Loveless of New Castle, Jenna Loveless of New Castle, Carson, Grady and Bailey Cox all of New Castle; great grandson, Aidan Loveless of New Castle; brother, Griffin (wife, Charlotte) Melton of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Caroline Goar-Skaggs.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Charles M. McDonald and Brother Dave Fairley officiating.
