Betty E Rains

Betty E. Rains, age 94, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013 at The Waters of New Castle. She was born November 21, 1918 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Russel L. and Edith M. (Denney) Smith.

Betty loved spending time with her family and enjoyed watching the Pacers.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Jack L (Karen) Rains of New Castle; two granddaughters, Kristi (Scott) Duff of Indianapolis and Amy (Larry) Scubeleck of Fishers, IN; three great grandchildren, Alexandra Duff, Nicholas Scubelek and Jordan Scubelek.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 75 years, Roger D. Rains, June 11, 2012; an infant daughter, Tana Rains; sister, Agatha (Gordon) Bird; brother, Frederick (Wava Lynn) Smith.

Private services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
