Betty L. Reno, age 80, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Stonebrook Rehabilitation Center in New Castle. She was born June 5, 1929 in Shelbyville, Indiana to the late Harry and Mildred Sutherland.
She was a graduate of New Castle High School, Betty was an avid bingo player and was a member of the White Union Christian Church.
Survivors include six children, Russ (wife, Violet) Reno of Freedom, IN, Mike (wife, Marsha) Reno of Peoria, AZ, Debbie Cline (companion, Dickie Poffenbarger) of Spencer, IN, Jeff Reno (fiance, Nikki) of Laurel, IN, Rob (wife, Vickie) Reno of Mt. Summit and Julie (husband, John) Finnerty of Cadiz; two sisters, Lucille Sutherland of Alabama and Millie Sutherland of Shelbyville; five step children; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Reno in 1998; son-in-law, Teddy Cline; grandson, Brian Patrick Reno; a brother and a sister.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Thomas Current officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the funeral home.
