Beverly Grace Kendall, 83, a lifelong resident of New Castle went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville. She was born February 9, 1942 in Henry County to the late Alonzo and Ruth (Fadely) Sweigart.
A 1960 graduate of Walter P. Chrysler High School, she retired from Henry County Farm Bureau Co-op in 2005 after 45 years of service. Beverly was a member of First Bible Freewill Baptist Church where she taught children and youth programs. She served faithfully in several areas of the church. Beverly was also a member of BPW (Business and Professional Women’s Assn.) and had a love of coloring.
Survivors include a daughter: Melissa (Joshua) Beem of new Castle; brother: James (Linda) Sweigart of New Castle; nieces and nephews: Michael (Carolyn) Sweigart of Richmond, Agenna (Jim) Mathley of Cumming, GA, William (Kaye) Kendall and Barbie (Chris) Baker; grand nieces and nephews: Kyra Mathley, Hannah Mathley, Olivia Mathley, Danyell Huber and Nathaniel Sweigart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin Kendall.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Jim Mullen officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral Home.
