Beverly June Pummill, age 52, of Markleville, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 following an extended illness at her residence. She was born February 24, 1960 in New Castle, Indiana to William and Elva (Blevins) Hollars.
A graduate of Blue River High School, she attended IU East in Richmond. She worked at Delco Remy in Anderson and had also worked at Raintree Headstart Program in New Castle. She belonged to the Pendleton Writing Club. She was a member of Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church where she was baptized. Beverly was a loving wife and mother. She loved gardening, canning, sewing, swimming, writing and crafts. Beverly and her husband took the Master Gardeners course through Purdue University.
Survivors include her husband, Stephen C. Pummill, of Markleville, whom she married January 1, 2001; sons, Blake and Nick Isbell of Markleville; mother, Elva Hollars of New Castle; sisters, Barbara (husband, Jerry) Howard, Sherry (husband, Sammy) Vaughn, Susan (husband, Jim) Keever all of New Castle and Jannie Ketring of Cambridge City; brothers, Jerry (wife, Joy) Hollars of Markleville and Larry (wife, Chris) Hollars of Manilla; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Hollars; brother-in-law, Phil Ketring; nephew, Cory Vaughn.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 pm Friday, December 21, 2012 at the funeral home.
