Beverly Jean (Bickel) White, 84, of Camby and formerly of Mooreland passed away Monday, January 20, 2025 at her residence following a brief battle with cancer. She was born January 9, 1941 in New Castle to the late Drex Eugene and Margaret Louise (Maddy) Bickel.
Beverly was a 1959 graduate of New Castle High School and a 1960 graduate of Royal Beauty School. She worked as a hairdresser for many years and owned two different beauty salons before working at Futuristic Hair Salon for over 20 years until her retirement. Beverly was very artistic and enjoyed painting, making stained glass and working in her flower beds. She also thoroughly enjoyed shopping at flea markets and going antiquing. She attended Union Chapel Church in Carlos, Indiana for many years. Beverly also loved visiting the Mooreland Free Fair each year to reminisce with old friends.
She is survived by her children, Holly L. White (Cheri L. Garner), Lee C. White (Tony Van De Venter) and Dereck M. White (Nichole); grandchildren, Abbi Hofmann, Jason Weber (Haley), Hunter White and Patricia Gwinn; great grandchildren, Katharine, Xander, Gavin, Lacie, Lucas, Silas and Jolie; great great granddaughter, Sienna; a sister, Linda Imel; best friend, Faye Gluff and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David L. White; a brother and sister-in-law; Rudy and Margaret Bickel.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor David Bales officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery.
