Bill Fultz, 95, of New Castle, IN ascended to his heavenly reward on Friday, January 17, 2025. He was born on July 16, 1929 in Morehead, KY to the late Everett and Ethel Mae (Mabry) Fultz.

Bill grew up in Morehead attending Haldeman High School. He moved to New Castle about 1948 where he met his future wife. After they married, he served during the Korean War in the 10 th Infantry Division and later the 26 th, attending NCO school and attained the rank of Sergeant in United States Army. He earned two medals – the Occupation Medal Germany and the National Defense Service Medal.

Bill was a successful and respected small business owner in Henry County for nearly 70 years. In addition to working as a foreman at World Bestos Firestone for over 20 years. He owned and operated several automotive service and sales businesses. He finally retired at the age of 92 when closing Bill’s Auto Sales on Broad Street.

Bill was a dedicated family man who took an active interest in his children and grandchildren’s lives. He enjoyed being outdoors working in his yard and garden, camping and fishing. Family members have fond memories of camping trips to destinations near and far.

Surviving to honor these memories are his loving wife of almost 76 years, Billie Louise (Sharp) Fultz; sister, Mable (Kenneth) Adkins of Morehead, KY; daughter, Sheila (Daniel) York of North Carolina; 10 grandchildren, Joe, Rob, Kallie, Kanyun, Sheri, Laurie, Elissa, Lanie, Katie and Abby; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert and James; 2 sisters, Opal Hinton and Violet Nickell; 1 son, Billy Donald; and 1 grandson, Daniel York II.

The family is extremely grateful to the teams at Bethel Pointe and Heart to Heart Hospice of Muncie for their excellent care, compassion, and support for the family.

Per Bill’s wishes, there will be no public services. Burial will be at South Mound Cemetery at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers please donate to Wounded Warriors Project at www.woundedwarriorsproject.org. You may express condolences or share memories of Bill atwww.hinsey-brown.com.
