Billie D. Estes, 79, of Knightstown passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 at The Waters of New Castle. She was born June 26, 1933 in Pike County, KY a daughter of Clyde E. and Fanny (Jones) Jenkins.
She worked at RCA for 30 years and then retired in 1999 after 7 years of service at Draper Inc. in Spiceland. Billie enjoyed volunteering at the Knightstown Soldiers and Sailors Children’s Home. She had a long-time affiliation with the Baptist Church.
Billie leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Marcia (Charles) Byrket of Spiceland, and Suzan (Dallas) Cadle of Highlands, TX; four granddaughters: Lisa (Jason) Ash of Knightstown, Laura (Warren) Cannon of Fishers, Lana (Lori) Byrket of Spiceland and Sara (Patrick) Booth of Everett, WA; two great grandchildren: Noah Cannon and Mallory Ash; several nieces and nephews.
In addition of her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Clyde Jr., Don and Neal Jenkins; two sisters: Alene Smith Baker and Gay Ann Cash.
Services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Reverend Glen Raney officiating. Burial will follow in Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland.
