Billy Nation went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2015. He was born on March 13, 1932 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to Corbet and Rosie (Jarvis) Nation.
Billy was born and raised in Kentucky. He moved to New Castle in 1953.
He worked and owned Nation Heating and Cooling for many successful years. He was an active member of Charity Baptist Church in New Castle. Billy had also been an avid bowler in New Castle for many years. Raccoon hunting was another thing that Billy enjoyed doing. He and “Kate” (one of his favorite hounds) won many awards and trophies tracking together throughout the years. Another favorite past time for him was fishing; many hours were spent with friends and family with his fishing pole. Billy also loved gardening and he grew many things throughout the years. His tomato plants were the thing that he was most proud to show everyone. Billy was a wonderful servant of God and a devoted son, husband, father, uncle, brother and true friend to many.
Many memories are left here on earth with his loving wife of 62 years, whom he married in 1953, Betty (Barger) Nation of New Castle; one son, Lonnie (Teresa) Nation of New Castle; special nephew, Jeff (Melissa) Nation of Middletown; very special great nephews and niece: Jake Nation (fiancée Shelby Abrams) of Middletown, Clint Nation of Fishers, Seth Nation and Morgan Nation both of Middletown. Billy also left behind three sisters: Margie Flowers of New Castle, Barbara Pierce of Albany, KY and Gerldine Coe of Gamaliel, TN; one brother, Keith (Jackie) Nation of Russell Springs, KY; a sister-in-law, Nova Nation; along with several other nieces and nephews. Additionally he leaves behind a special friend, Sue Adkins.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Golda and brother-in-law, Edison Hoots; Roger Nation his brother; brothers-in-law: Welby Flowers, Billy Pierce and Ray Coe.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the funeral home. Condolences and memories of Billy may be expressed at
