Bobby Derick Wallen, 57, of New Castle passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017. He was born March 8, 1960 in Dayton, OH to the late Jack and Versa Wallen.
He retired as Captain of the New Castle Fire Department where he has served for the past 28 years, primarily at station 3. Bobby previously worked at a bicycle shop which his father owned. He loved riding 4 wheelers and especially spending time with his grandchildren. His special confidant was his pet rottweiler Kaito. Bobby had served in the US Army for 6 years.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Louisa Jane Wallen, children, Amy (Colby) Early of Daleville; Robert “Derick” (Nikki) Wallen, Miranda Wallen and Brandi Wallen all of New Castle; grandchildren, Milah, Collin, Payten, John, Shayla, Bobby and Brooklynn, brother, David (Tammy) Wallen of Florida; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Wallen and brother-in law, John Davis
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 11, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Bill Palmer officiating.
