Brenda K. (Akers) Weber, 80, of Greenwood and formerly of New Castle and Middletown, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 at her residence. She was born October 29, 1943 in Salt Lick, KY, a daughter of the late Roy B. and Alta M. (Staton) Akers.
A 1962 graduate of Walter P. Chrysler High School, Brenda worked for Dr.’s Bledsoe, McKee and Stricker as a medical assistant for a few years. She then worked at Delco-Remy in Anderson for over 30 years, where she retired after working in administration. She attended Foursquare Gospel Church in New Castle and then First Assembly of God, where she was presently a member.
She enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her children, and especially her grandchildren. A devoted wife, she was loving and a hard-worker and also loved her grand doggies.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Susan (Harmon) Sanders of Pendleton, Adam (Kim) Stinson of Greenwood, Mike (Pam) Weber of Crawfordsville, Scott Weber of Kansas City, MO, Bethany Ford of Gladstone, MO; grandchildren, Rick Sanders (Kelli Burnett) of Middletown, Allen (Andrea) Smith of Greenwood, Deanna Weile (Thomas Drake) of Greenwood, Jared (Ayla) Stinson of Elwood, Brandon (Taylor) Weber of Rockfield, Cameron Weber, Brenton Weber, Adam Samborski, Andrew Samborski, and D.J. Ford; great grandchildren, Drew, Sadie, Finn, Briley, Chandler, Katie, Lily, Adaline, Zara, Brandon, A.J, James, Liam, Jaden, Klaudia and Scarlett; one brother, J.D. (Connie) Akers of Parker City; one nephew, Todd (Jenny) Akers of Cleveland, TN; one niece, Mandy Bly of Farmland; three great nieces and one great nephew; several close cousins, and close friends, Beth and her daughters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Weber in 2012.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Steve Gallaway officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
