Brian "Andy" A. Kirchner, 38, of Carthage passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 following a battle with cancer. He was born May 9, 1986 in Greenfield to Brian D. and Jane M. (Creek) Kirchner.
Andy was a 2004 graduate of Knightstown High School where he excelled in the Building Trades program. Following high school, he worked for Cross Electric where he became a licensed electrician. He later worked at Blackwell Construction for several years. Andy was an avid outdoorsman and loved bass fishing, kayaking and hunting. More than anything, he loved spending time with his daughter, Ali, who was the light of his life. Andy was a loyal but quiet in nature person who had a heart of gold and a best friend to everyone he met.
He is survived by his daughter, Aliana Kirchner; mother, Jane M. Kirchner (Chris Funkhouser); father, Brian D. (Amanda) Kirchner; brother, James “Jimmy” Kirchner (Heavyn Hines); sister, Ella Kirchner; paternal grandparents, James D. (Kathe) Kirchner; step grandparents, Dan (Loretta) Canter; nephew, Brody Hines and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gerald and Betty Creek and paternal grandmother, June Ella Kirchner.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service-Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Jack Stout officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
