Carl C. Forester, age 77, of New Castle passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at his residence. He was born February 13, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio to the late John M. and Ada Pearl (Keton) Forester.
He loved playing guitar and harmonica, he enjoyed his friends and family. Carl was a man of wisdom and kindness. He had a sparkle in his eyes and a smile when he told about the “old days.” He was a truck driver for several companies and did handyman work in the area for many years.
Survivors include four sons, Carl Michael Forester of Decatur, IN, John E. (wife, Rebecca) Forester of Crooksville, OH, Jeff A. Forester of New Straitsville, OH and Charlie J. Forester of Pendleton, IN; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister, Margaret Coleman of Willow Branch, MS; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Richard and Robin Swim, Vern Thompson, Krista Lewis and Ashleigh Sexton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou Hicks Forester; two brothers, Lawrence James Forester and Pearl Cody Forester; sisters, Maryann Tremter, Lena Faye Clarke and Dorothy Louise Kirckpatrick.
Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012 at South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
