Carl "Bud" Jr. Sander

Carl “Bud” Junior Sander, age 84, of Knightstown, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born July 4, 1928 in Cumberland, Indiana to the late Carl F. and Esther (Smith) Sander.

Bud retired from Container Corporation in 1990 following 43 years of service. He was an active member of Ogden United Methodist Church. Bud was a gentle, caring man who was a great father, grandfather and especially husband, always looking out for the needs of his wife of 65 years, Ruth Ann. He also enjoyed gardening and working on projects around the house.

Survivors include his wife Ruth Ann Sander of Ogden; sons, David Alan Sander of Ogden and James (wife, Sara Jane) Sander of Ossian, IN; four grandchildren, David Lee (wife, Jenni) Sander of Knightstown, Crystal Ann (husband, Dan) Payton of Fort Wayne, Timothy Josiah Sander and Elizabeth Faith Sander both of Ossian; five great grandchildren, Emily Sander, Allison Sander, Benjamin Sander, Reid Payton and Brynn Payton; sister, Shirley Ann (husband, Kenneth) Loveall of Spiceland.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Orpha Sammons.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Reverend Carolyn Stoten officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
