Carl R. Wilson, 82 of Albany, Kentucky went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 8, 2016. He was born August 26, 1934 in Science Hill, KY to the late Kellis and Bonnie (Hall) Wilson.
Carl was an active member of Lee’s Chapel Church of Albany KY, and enjoyed being the greeter at the church and spending time with his very large family.
He retired from Ferodo (New Castle) in 1999 after 32 years of service before moving to Albany, Kentucky.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 33 years, Virginia Wilson of Albany, KY, daughter Tena/ Bill Palmer of New Castle, grandson Chris Kirby, great-grand, Amaya and Silas, granddaughter, Mary Palmer (Andrew Meyer), great grand, Gage Meyer; Daughter Saundra/Chris Bryant of Tulsa, OK; grandkids, Crystal and Travis Bryant; Daughter, Monica Price of Indianapolis, grandsons, Jay and Karl Kissinger (Hannah); great grand, Annabella, Wesley, Charlie, Sofia and Mason; daughter Jennifer/Jeff Nye of Muncie, grandson, J.D. (Jeremiah) and Kerry Craft, great grand, Kiah and Kalijah Craft, Alaina and Tiana Ramirez, granddaughter, Jena and Shannon Ashby, great grand, Colin and Gavin Ashby; son Martin (Tony) and Linda Hay, granddaughter, Brooke and Joe Terry, great grand, Tristin, Talon and Noah Terry.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Teresa M. Hay French and is survived by her family, grandson, Kent and Traci French, great grand Daxton and Preston French, granddaughter Audrea French (Jake Davis), great grand, Bentley Davis, grandson Brock and Rachel French. Also, a brother, Ed Wilson of Yorktown, IN and two sisters Pat Watkins of Anderson and Jean Gorman of New Castle.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Hilton, Joyce Tuck, and Rose Neal of Byrdstown Kentucky, and special Uncle Ellis and Jean Wilson of Springport, and daughter Teresa M. Hay French, also an infant sister and brother.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie. Condolences and memories of Carl may be shared at
