Carlos Lowe, 93, a resident of Hagerstown passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle. He was born October 18, 1931 in Slickford, Kentucky to the late John Nathan and Lula (Jones) Lowe.

A veteran of the US Army, he served during the Korean War in Germany. Carlos retired from Ingersoll Steel in 1993 after many years of service. He was an active member of Foursquare Church where he served as an elder and usher. Carlos also attended men’s prayer group faithfully, served on the prayer team and assisted with grounds keeping and church maintenance. An avid bowler, he bowled a perfect game at Rose City Bowl. Carlos loved being outdoors and volunteering at 4-H shows. He also enjoyed fishing and working in his yard. More than anything, Carlos loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include two daughters: Marcia (Lonnie) Massengale of Hagerstown and Terry (Todd) Rader of New Castle; grandchildren: David Eric (Lora) Moore of Hagerstown, Clinton Michael Moore of Hagerstown, Carlos Alan Rader of Hagerstown and Darcy Leann (Justin) Noblitt of New Castle; great-grandchildren: Madeline Grace, Ava Marie and Kevlei Ann Moore, Kassady Nicole and Kyle Alan Rader, Baylor Reid Noblitt, Zoey Brooke Rader and Jaykob Dean Noblitt; two sisters-in-law: Donna Lowe and Arvella Baker, both of New Castle; his loving dog, Hope; several nieces, nephews and close church friends.

In addition to his parents, Carlos was preceded in death by his wife Glenna Lowe; a granddaughter: Jennifer Jo Moore; son-in-law: Kevin Moore; thirteen siblings: Stella Ann Gann, Dorotha Jane, Hubert Arnold, Albert Andrew, Denise Hazel and Daniel Abslom Lowe, Hattie Bell Craig, Walter Sherman Lowe, Sarah E. Troxell, Lillie Blaine Slavin, Windal Ray and Dallas Bradley Lowe and Edith Marie Christ.

The family of Carlos would like to thank the staff of Advantage Home Care and Glen Oaks for their dedication to his care.

Services will be held to 10:00 AM Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Foursquare Church with Pastor Jim Becker officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition with military graveside rites conducted by contingents of the US Army, American Legion and the VFW. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 23 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
