Carlos Andrew Rigdon

Carlos Andrew Rigdon, 54, of Knightstown, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 16, 2010. He was born April 4, 1956 in Vanceburg, KY, the son of the late John Andrew and Dora (Grayson) Rigdon.

He graduated from Knightstown High School and was employed at Avery Dennison in Greenfield. He had previously been employed at Smurfit Stone Container in Carthage. It was his wish to help others through organ donation. He enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles, riding motorcycles, camping and spending time with his family and pets.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years: Beth Rigdon of Knightstown; two daughters: Molly Rigdon and Shawna Rigdon both of Knightstown; one brother: Bill (wife: Sue) Purden of Ocala, FL; brother-in-law: Steve (wife: Margie) Bridges of Knightstown; sister-in-law: Susie (husband: Devin) Keefer of Knightstown; uncle: Jim Grayson of Tollesboro, KY; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson: Andrew Bennett in 2009; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Lowell & JoAnn Bridges, both in 2009; brother-in-law: Ron Bridges; and an infant brother.

Services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Ken Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday, November 19, 2010. Memorial contributions may be made to Beth Rigdon for an Educational Fund for their daughters or the American Heart Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
