Carol Louise Harris

Carol Louise Harris, 81, of Middletown passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at her residence. She was born on April 22, 1943 in Henry County, Indiana, a daughter of the late Ross and Charlotte Allen.

Carol was a 1961 graduate of Spiceland High School. She retired from Fort Benjamin Harrison following 36 years of service and then worked for Fadley’s Jewelers in Anderson for 13 years prior to retiring from her working days. Carol enjoyed her work at the jewelry store as she was an avid jewelry collector. Carol also enjoyed dancing, she and her husband, Dave, won many dance competitions in high school and during their marriage.

Carol is survived by her husband of 26 years, Dave Harris of Middletown; children, Allen (Carla) Neal of Florida, Lisa (Brian) Inman of Cumberland, Lana (David) Freeman of New Castle and Matt Harris of Nashville, TN; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Carnes.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, October 4, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until the time of service on Friday. You may express condolences or share memories of Carol at www.hinsey-brown.com.
