Carolinda “Petie” Wright, 62, of New Castle, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born October 8, 1951 in New Castle a daughter of Lawrence and Rebecca Jane (Ball) Bittner.
She had been employed at Harold’s Hamburgers, Worl’s Laundromat and Payne Village Laundry and Dry Cleaning. She enjoyed spending time with her cats, Bubba and Forest.
She is survived by two daughters: Melanie Wright (companion: Darrell Johnson) of New Castle, Ashley (Rob) Dudley of Lafayette; three grandsons: Matthew Dudley, Jackson Dudley and Darrell Johnson, Jr.; her companion; Thomas Wright of New Castle; a sister: Marilyn (George) Praggastis of Sierra Vista, AZ; two brothers: David Bittner of New Castle and Larry Bittner of Monticello, IN; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Gerald Bittner.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with . Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carolinda Wright Memorial Fund.
