Carolyn S. Stoten, 73, formerly of Knightstown, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Greenwood Meadows. She was born August 10, 1941 in New Castle, the daughter of Gilbert and Catherine (Longwell) Howard.
Carolyn served as pastor of the Ogden United Methodist Church and retired from United Parcel Service. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Carolyn was a seamstress and enjoyed crafts especially porcelain dolls and being an amateur antique dealer.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Glenn R. Stoten of Beech Grove; a son, Philip Stoten of Wright City, MO; grandchildren, Shane and Tre` Stoten; a sister, Priscilla (Dennis, Col. Ret.) Shumaker of Spring Branch, TX.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Howard.
Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Reverend Carol Wiley officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #152. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 10-12 prior to the service.
