Carolyn “Suzanne” Hedrick Perry, 80, of Muncie and formerly of New Castle passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at her residence. She was born October 11, 1935 in New Castle to the late Jesse L. and Lois Pearl (Razor) Hedrick.
Suzanne retired from Ball State University in 1999, where she worked in the accounting office. She was a member of Buck Creek Church of the Brethren, where she was active with the music department. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grand children and great grandchildren. She also loved to cook, bake, bird watch and occasionally fish. Suzanne always had a smile on her face.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of more than 62 years, Edward M. Perry of Muncie; children, Chris Perry of Muncie, Joyce Hines (fiancé, Fred Meer) of Muncie, David R. Perry of Mooreland; grandchildren, Barbara Perry of Muncie, Karen Antrim (fiancé, Joe Kennedy) of New Castle, Larry (Leah) Perry of Anderson, Penny Antrim (fiancé, Jared Grubbs) of New Castle, Cecil (Jenny) Martin of Plainfield; great grandchildren, Zane and Alyssa Grubbs, Jack Kennedy, Ryan, Amber and Justice Burton, Keysa and David Malone; siblings, Tom (Judy) Hedrick of Oxford, Connie (Jerry) Troxell of Sun City West, AZ, Robert (Kay) Hedrick of Bluffton, SC, Marshall (Janet) Hedrick of New Palestine; brother in law, Jim (Sally) Perry of New Castle and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Larry Perry and a sister in law, Pat Hedrick.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Buck Creek Church of the Brethren, 8802 N. Buck Creek Pike Mooreland, IN 47360. Pastor Paul Baty of Mt. Pleasant Church of the Brethren will be officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Muncie. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Heart Association or Buck Creek Church of the Brethren with envelopes available at the funeral home and church.
