Carolyn J. Terry

Carolyn Joyce Terry, 77, of Middletown passed away on Wednesday July 10, 2024 at the Waters of Middletown. She was born on September 14, 1946 in Lowden County, TN to the late Edwin and Agnes (Pass) Powers.

She was a 1964 graduate of Walter P. Chrysler High School. Carolyn worked for the State Hospital in the canteen. She sold life insurance for Western Southern in the Henry County area. Carolyn was the Activities Director for Millers Merry Manor and helped out in the kitchen then went on to be a home health aide. She was raised in and attended the New Castle South Side Church of the Nazarene. Carolyn enjoyed crafting, being outside working with her plants and flowers and loved animals. She had great love for her family and enjoyed life.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Brian Stewart of Greensfork, Brent Stewart of Greensfork, Tammy (Mark) Howlett of Hagerstown and Matthew Terry of Muncie; grandchildren, Michael, Brittany, Steven, Aaron, J.C., Cameron, Presley, Tiffany, Samantha, Braden, Maggie and Raina; several great grandchildren; sister, Susie Massey of Anderson; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Carolyn is preceded in death by her son, Bradley Stewart and sister, Brenda Voiles.

Visitation will be on Friday July 19, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Services will be on Saturday July 20, 2024 at 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
