Carolyn “Eloise” Wisehart, 80, of Shirley, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle. She was born February 26, 1933 in Willow Branch the daughter of Walter and Alta (Ellison) Bricker.
A 1951 graduate of Charlottesville High School, she was a longtime resident of Shirley. She was a member of Shirley Christian Church where she served as pianist for many years. Eloise was a breast cancer survivor and a member of Red Hat Society. She was a founding member of the Jane Ross Reeves Octagon House in Shirley. She enjoyed reading, gospel and country music, crossword puzzles and especially spending time with her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Teresa “Terri” (Allen) Collier of Knightstown and Karen (Mark) Harrison of Wilkinson; three granddaughters: Amanda (Justin) Langdon of Shirley, Andrea Collier of Wilkinson and Kara (Brad) Overton of Greenwood; two great grandchildren: Kendall Langdon and Graham Overton; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Robert W. Wisehart; two brothers: Veryl Bricker and Fred Bricker.
Service will be at 1:00 PM Monday, August 12, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Reverends Allen Collier and Mike Hopper officiating. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery.
