Carroll “Bud” Yoder, 75, of New Castle, passed onto his eternal resting place peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Bud was born on July 1, 1948, in Iowa City, Iowa to the late Arthur and Beatrice (Perrin) Yoder.
Bud lived a life of service, serving in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era, serving his communities as a Volunteer Firefighter, Paramedic, Police Officer and as a Police Chief. Serving the youth was a passion for Bud, he was a baseball coach, umpire, foster parent and speaker. Bud served many years as the Police Chief for the communities of St. Clair, MO, Centralia, MO and Lake Ozark, MO.
An avid nature enthusiast Bud enjoyed watching the cardinals and squirrels while sitting outside. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gameshows and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Kansas City Chiefs football.
Most of all Bud loved his family, he was devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with them and will be greatly missed by them all.
Bud is survived by his wife of almost 54 years, Carolyn (Allred) Yoder; son; Marc (Michelle) Yoder; daughter, Steffanie Yoder; grandchildren, Alicyn, Camryn, Devyn, Zack, Carter and Trey; brothers, Tom Yoder and Robert Yoder.
In addition to his parents, Bud is preceded in death by a sister, Terri Sands.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
