Cathy Ann Steele, 65, of Spiceland, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 while at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 7, 1949 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Curtis D. and Maxine Geneva (Smith) Rice.
A loving mother, Cathy loved her kids and her grandkids. They were her life. A wonderful homemaker, she enjoyed making candy and crafts, but her family always came first.
Survivors include her husband, John Steele Sr. of Spiceland; son, John Steele Jr. of Spiceland; daughter, Melissa (Brent) Perkins of Spiceland; sister, Melanie Turner of Texas; grandchildren, Brandt Kessinger, Molly Perkins, Ameera Perkins, Brent Alan Perkins Jr., Mason Steele, and Jacob Adkins. Also, an aunt, Mary Smith of Lewisville; niece, Heather Crews of Texas; brother in law and sister in law, Steve and Barbara Steele.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
