Cecil Dishman

Cecil D. Dishman, 73, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born February 13, 1937 in Slickford, KY to Oakley and Ola Dishman.

Cecil worked in heating and cooling and was self employed most of his life. He was devoted to his family and his hobby was helping other people. Cecil was the type of person that would give you the shirt off his back and not ask when it would be returned. He enjoyed NASCAR.

Survivors include a son, Dean (Teresa) Dishman; grandsons, Tyler Dean and Dillon Garrett; brother, Sterlie (Norma) Dishman; sisters, Ina Craig of New Castle and Vena Shanks of Tucson, AZ; nieces and nephews, Rick (Debbie) Davis, Shelia Marion, Gail Dishman, Helen Bell, Denny (Pam) Craig, Dale (Connie) Craig, Melinda Dishman, Cathy (Dennis) Hamilton all of New Castle, Crystal Dishman of Noblesville and Keith, Tim and Rod Carender of AZ, several nieces and nephews from TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Cledith (Pat) Dishman; sisters, Glenna Davis and Gladys and (Frank) Harding' nephews, Ron Davis, Dennis Craig, Terry Dishman; great nephew, Joey Bell; brother-in-law, Dallas Craig.

Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 25, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Jack Hannum officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
