Charles (Chuck) Joseph Gerth

Chuck Gerth, 62, of Denver Colorado and formerly of New Castle, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 30 following a brief illness. He was born on December 9, 1962 in Akron, Ohio to the late Charles F. and Marsha A. (Coldiron) Gerth.

 He attended St. Anne Catholic Church during his years in New Castle. Chuck attended New Castle Chrysler High School where he was an avid baseball player for the Trojans along with catching for the Medics in the Babe Ruth League. As an adult, Chuck continued his love of sports by following the Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos and his favored Cincinnati Reds.

 Survivors include his brother, Michael (wife: Kristy) Gerth; niece, Sarah Gerth; nephew, Matthew Gerth all of New Castle; two uncles, Rich and Fr. Ken Gerth; and an aunt, Denise Gerth.

 He was preceded in death by both his parents and his sister, Tracey Ann Gerth in 1997.

 A private graveside service, officiated by Father Ken Gerth, will take place at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements have been to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, IN.
