Charles Keith, Jr., 70, of Knightstown, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born August 2, 1941 in Somerset, KY a son of Charles Herman and Bertie Mae (Huddleston) Keith.
Charles was a 1959 graduate of Knightstown High School. He served in active duty in the US Marines 1959-1963. Charles retired from Ford Motor Company in 2005 after over 40 years of service and was a member of UAW Local #1111. He was a member of the Knightstown Christian Church and enjoyed fishing, making knives, woodworking, gardening, antiquing and traveling.
He is survived by children: Akira Keith of New Castle, David (Kathryn) Keith of Fairland, Brent (Shauna) Keith of Greenfield, Gina Nickel of Arlington; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Maudie Hatcher of Idaho, Sarah Lewis of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Kimi Keith on September 17, 2009; 3 sisters, 2 brothers.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Richard Thayer officiating. Military rites and burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
