Charlotte Hart

August 16, 1919 — November 14, 2009

Charlotte M. Grim Hart, 90, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Living Petals in Middletown following an extended illness. She was born August 16, 1919 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Howard and Nellie (Ogborn) Cox.

A 1937 graduate of Mt. Summit High School, Charlotte was a member of the Springport Christian Church for over 75 years and was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. An active member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship, she was also active in area Home-Ec Clubs. She was an accomplished seamstress and also enjoyed quilting.

She is survived by her son, Gary (wife, Carolyn) Grim of New Castle; two grandchildren; Kent (wife, Renée) Grim of Mooreland and Karla (husband, Kelly) McKenney of Indianapolis; five great grandchildren, Alex, Abby and Wesley Grim, all of Mooreland, and Ian and Briana McKenney, both of Indianapolis; an aunt, Irene Hiatt of Ft. Wayne, her special caregiver, Cathy Shaw of Middletown and several nieces, nephews & cousins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband: Richard Grim; her second husband: Marshall Hart; and two brothers: Gene & Gerald Cox.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Pastor Rick Fennell officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Summit Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Springport Christian Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
