Charlotte Elisabeth Smith

Charlotte Elisabeth Smith, 86, of New Castle passed away Monday, September 9, 2024 at The Willows of New Castle. She was born July 2, 1938 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Ernest James and Lucy Lee (Moates) Gaston.

Charlotte loved being with her family but mostly spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved traveling to Destin, Florida.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Charles Smith; daughters, Sondra Burton, Lisa Thrasher, Roxane (Doug) Wagers; eight grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Brenda Fennig, Naomi Kramer and Howard Gaston and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Cheyenne Roberts and several siblings.
