Claude A. Jackson, 76, a resident of Knightstown passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 6, 2012 at his home. He was born July 26, 1935 in Dexter, Missouri to the late James and Janie (Goad) Jackson.
A self-employed mechanic, Claude owned Claude’s Wrecker Service since 1964. He also owned and operated three Standard Service Stations and a Sunoco Service Station in Indianapolis for many years. Claude was a lifetime member of the Henry County Saddle Club in New Castle. He enjoyed attending horse shows with his grandchildren as well as teaching them to ride.
Survivors include two sons: John L. (wife: Jaclyn) Jackson of Fortville and James A. (wife: Christina) Jackson of Noblesville; eight grandchildren: Desirie (husband: Joseph) Ingalls of Knightstown; Amanda (husband: Ryan) Scott of Nashville; Landon (wife: Kaci) Jackson of Lafayette; Tyler Jackson of Indianapolis; Hunter and Caden Jackson, both of Noblesville; Kursten and Jacob Jackson, both of Fortville; three great grandchildren: Ariana Scott of Nashville, Abigail Jackson of Lafayette and Jackson Ingalls of Knightstown; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene K. Jackson on December 7, 2010; three brothers and five sisters.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel. Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
