Cleo Roseberry, 77, of Anderson, went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 7, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born September 10, 1935 in Soldier, KY the son of Wilford and Bessie (Masters) Roseberry.
Cleo graduated from Knightstown High School in 1955 where he played basketball. He retired from General Motors following 27 years of service. Cleo was an outdoorsman, an avid hunter and once harvested, a record scoring Boone and Crocket, buck. He also enjoyed doing yard work. Cleo coached his sons, Todd and Tony, in both baseball and basketball and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was a member of Faith Chapel Church in Knightstown.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 56 years: Carolyn “Kay” (Lewis) Roseberry of Anderson; children: Tami (Gary) Wilson of Anderson, Todd Roseberry of Anderson; grandchildren: Kindra (Bill) Whetsel of Anderson, Linzi Campbell of Anderson, Blake Wilson of Anderson, Makayla Roseberry of Middletown; Chelsea Opperman of Baton Rouge, LA; great grandchildren: Olivia, Lucas, and Sophia Whetsel of Anderson: siblings: Arbedella “Arby” Gearhart of Olive Hill, KY, Guin Elda (Jim) Chapman of Knightstown, W. Ray (Peggy) Roseberry of Anderson, Nina Kay Murray of Hagerstown; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Tony Roseberry; and a sister: Lenora Hudson.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, February 11, 2013 at Faith Chapel Church in Knightstown with Pastor Randy Gross and Ralph Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
